CONDITION REPORT: Overall excellent condition. The dial is flawless and original with small print. The case and bracelet were lightly refreshed during its last overhaul in 2019. The bracelet is large and fits a 19.5cm wrist.

NOTES: The present watch comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Audemars Piguet and it indicates the watch was sold on January 1, 1989.

The Royal Oak perpetual calendar was launched in 1984 with reference 5554, then 25554 when the 5 digit references were introduced and the third series 25654 with a slightly thicker case. Among the different metals produced, two tone were made in small quantities. In fact, within these three series, the Royal Oak non-leap year indicating perpetual calendars were made in 272 examples in steel, 422 in yellow gold, 33 examples in platinum and just one in white gold. In addition, 72 examples were made in two tone, but not exclusively steel and gold (like this one), this also includes platinum and gold two tone watches.
