NOTES: Gerald Genta launched his brand in 1969, but really began promotion of his watches in 1983 along with his wife Evelyne after opening his watch workshop in Geneva in 1982. They ran the watch brand together together until 1999, when they sold the brand. Among Genta's bold designs under his own name and daring ideas, the Retro collection and this Bi-retrograde jump hour watch, were not only complicated, but surprisingly affordable. Launched respectively in 1994 and 1996, they were the first wristwatches to have a jump hour digital display and either retrograde indications of minutes or both retrograde minutes and date.
This example has the special sapphire display back, hence it is reference G3735 instead of G3734, and comes with its original papers from 1998.
