This watch commemorates the 35th anniversary of the historic 1975 Apollo-Soyuz Test Project, the first joint space mission between the United States and the Soviet Union. Produced in 2010 as a limited edition of 1975 pieces, it symbolizes the year of the mission. The watch's most notable feature is its unique dial, crafted from thinly sliced and color coated meteorite with unique natural patterns, making each watch distinct. The sub-dials are lighter than the anthracite grey main dial due to the different galvanic coating applied. It is also a protective coating as meteorite is ferrous and is prone to oxidation. Celebrating the momentous docking and handshake in orbit, the watch signifies US-Soviet cooperation during the Cold War and the meteorite dial or dials is a little piece of space to commemorate this as well.
