Dial: Black Dial with luminous hour markers, window with luminous 15 minutes 'pilot pre-flight check' countdown at 3 o'clock. Syringe hands.

Case: 40mm, stainless steel, metal rotating 12h bezel, glass in acrylic, screw back

Movement: Venus 178 (modified), Hand-wound mechanical column-wheel chronograph movement, 17 jewels

Condition Report: Overall excellent condition, the dial and hands are well preserved. The case is in overall excellent condition.

NOTES: Released in 1953, the Breitling 765 AVI was designed for pilots and pre-dates the Breguet Type XX. This historically important model was designed in two executions. One had a large 15 minute register so that pilots could time their pre-flight checks (15 minutes) by actioning the chronograph. The second, and rarer, variant had an aperture (which looks like a date window) that displayed digitally a 15 minute countdown.
