CONDITION REPORT: The watch is in overall good condition and shows signs of wear, but appears unpolished. The dial is original and has the original tritium lume in the indexes that have aged nicely and evenly over time to an amber color matching the hands as well. The case has visible signs of wear but is unpolished. The bracelet shows minimal stretch and has a total length of 18.5cm.
NOTES: The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 14700 was produced for a very short time between 1990-1992. It is 36 mm automatic Royal Oak with a date display. The reference was produced in stainless steel and precious-metal variations, with design features including an octagonal bezel, integrated bracelet and Petite Tapisserie dial.
In 1992, Audemars Piguet introduced the successor reference 14790, which became a longer-running model in the mid-size Royal Oak range. The 14700 is often referred to as the “Mini-Jumbo” and is considered a transitional reference between the earlier mid-size Royal Oaks and the 14790. |
